by leveraging the power of the payroll system, i was able to provide our members with unique tools that eliminate the need for payday loans, influence how people save for a rainy day, and eliminate banking fees.

1) cashout: a free cash advance linked to payroll that used real time tracking of hours and direct control of paycheck flows to underwrite risk, giving hourly workers fee-free access to earned wages instead of costly payday loans. The innovation was later patented. 2) savings goals: Apple-like four-click onboarding using real‑time payroll data and defaults to drive adoption well above category benchmarks. 3) smart debit card: paycheck splitting and automated bill envelopes helped users stay on budget without fees or extra apps.
